The
UP ( “University Publications”) database comprises all publications
which were produced by the former Academy for Tertiary Education, established
in 1980, and replaced by the University of Namibia in 1992, and which have
been deposited in the UP collection of the Library's Archives Unit.
The database comprises primarily documents which were at the time of their
production, intended for the public domain. The documents entered into the
database are therefore open to any member of the public, and are not subject
to the access restrictions of the Archives Act, 1992.
The researcher using this database can expect to find inter alia, pamphlets,
calendars, papers presented at conferences, workshops and seminars, academic
journals, discussion papers authored by University staff, yearbooks and annual
reports. The database also includes many discussion papers and research reports
produced by the former Namibia Institute for Social and Economic Research,
NISER.
